EWISP is a biennial, competition-based program. Students are nominated by their schools to participate in the scholarship competition. Judges select winning students based on their scholastic achievement, leadership qualities, financial need, community service and extra-curricular activities.

Scholarship Awards for the Milwaukee Chapter of EWI range between $1,000 and $3000. EWI of Milwaukee offers this scholarship every other year.

EWI of Milwaukee opens its competition in alternating years during January/February to all high school seniors of public, private, and parochial high schools located (or homeschooled) in the eight-county Southeastern Wisconsin area served by EWI of Milwaukee including Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee, and Sheboygan counties.

The EWISP Scholarship will be offered again in 2025.

How does it work?

Each high school may nominate only one senior student to compete, whose career plans include pursuing a degree at an accredited post-secondary institution. Please note: the student must be nominated by their school or teacher.

In 2025, EWI of Milwaukee will award $3,000 to the 1st place finalist, $2,000 to the 2nd place finalist and $1,000 to the 3rd place finalist.

Visit Early 2024 for more details.

EWISP allows selected students to compete typically at both the EWI Chapter and EWI National levels for scholarships. To date, the National EWISP program has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to high school students from all over the United States and Canada.
